Reclaiming the Wellbeing Room
New Frontiers in Embodied Design

Wellbeing rooms are now a standard feature of the workplace, yet many remain underused or disconnected from how people actually experience stress at work. Wellbeing is not a fixed amenity or a one-size-fits-all solution. It is a regulatory state shaped by how people interact with their environment.
By drawing on neuroscience, psychology, and embodied design, we explore how flexible, multi-sensory spaces can support focus, calm, and reconnection. Choice, adaptability, and sensory awareness are essential tools for helping people feel grounded, present, and able to do their best work throughout the day.
