Financial Services Firm
National Account | 40+ Projects Across 5 Cities
Since 2019, IA has partnered with this leading financial services firm to reimagine its workplace as an agile, human-centered environment that reflects its people and purpose. Over the course of this seven-year relationship, IA has delivered more than 1.75 million square feet of renovations and building improvements. These initiatives have encompassed strategy, master planning, various studies, and experiential, digital, and sustainable solutions.
IA was engaged to develop, implement, and maintain design guidelines and standards. Branding and signage standards also embraced biophilia, neurodiversity, and outdoor spaces as essential extensions of the office.
Scalable templates and a modular kit-of-parts enabled a cohesive, flexible rollout across each location.
The Malvern Campus honors the firm's heritage while emphasizing its pioneering spirit. Years of incremental updates had segmented the site; the new master plan stitches it back together, streamlining connectivity and creating intentional opportunities for unique experiences.
The project team has refreshed twelve of the thirteen buildings, two of which are now unified by a dramatic connector addition. Thoughtful planning supports hybrid work, with intuitive wayfinding, fluid transitions, and spontaneous connections.
Initially envisioned as a simple bridge, the connector evolved into a central activity hub linking people and dynamic workflows. Various settings — from quiet focus areas to social breakout zones — support the full spectrum of office activities and assorted business unit needs.
Technology brings the workplace to life: digital tickers and displays showcase real-time market dynamics. At the same time, a kinetic sculpture in the executive suite symbolizes the ebb and flow of global finance.
Within the connector, an engaging personalization wall unites employees by inviting them to share personal imagery, get to know one another, and engage in collective experiences that reinforce a sense of purpose. Architecture and interiors weave subtle brand motifs, reinforcing the firm's cultural identity.
Biophilic elements — natural materials, textures, and rhythms — bring balance by softening the built environment and grounding employees in calm amid market volatility.
The result is a flagship campus that captures the dynamism of a constantly shifting financial landscape while providing employees and clients with a sense of stability and vision. IA has also implemented a consistent yet locally responsive strategy for this client's locations in Charlotte, NC, Oakland, CA, Plano, TX, and Scottsdale, AZ.
