SCAD professor Tara Headley, senior interior designer at IA's Atlanta Studio, is chair of the board of trustees for the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Foundation and president of the IIDA Georgia chapter. Tara advocates getting involved in an organization like hers while still in school to start making connections in the field. “Start engaging before graduation,” she urges. “Volunteering with the student board or even with the professional chapter helps set the tone for your involvement, and people will remember your efforts.”
