IA Interior Architects is excited to share that Kimberlyn Daniel, has joined the firm as our first Chief People | Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer. Kimberlyn is a global human resources executive with over 20 years of experience in leading and implementing progressive HR strategies for large, international organizations. She has worked closely with the leadership of a variety of notable companies to drive positive and complex transformation. Her emphasis on innovative approaches to community and social impact practices have continuously led to dynamic, fruitful results.
At IA, Kimberlyn will be an integral part of the leadership team, spearheading the firm’s Human Resources and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives and directly impacting the strategy and culture of the organization. This is a strategic hire for IA, representative of the evolution of the firm and the result of both internal feedback as well as industry research and benchmarks. Kimberlyn will provide input related to the firm’s strategic direction as well as serve as a member of our Enterprise Leadership Team, which is tasked with guiding the growth of the organization and sustaining the IA community. She will also oversee all aspects of IA’s existing HR Department.
Most recently, Kimberlyn was the Executive Director of Organizational Development for the City of Atlanta’s Department of Human Resources, tasked by Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms to transform and restructure a transaction-focused Human Resources function into a Business Partner and Center of Excellence model across the City’s thirteen departments. In addition to this significant role, she has also held executive-level roles with First Data, Equifax, LexisNexis, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
