Alert Media's new hybrid space offers employees a broad menu of settings for focus work, collaboration, and entertaining.

AlertMedia is a leading provider of emergency communication and risk monitoring solutions. Located at the top two stories of one of Austin’s newest and most advanced Class-A commercial office buildings, the new headquarters embodies company principles and brand with a timeless and straightforward design. Offering employees a broad menu of settings for focus work, collaboration, and entertaining, the space has become a hub of connectivity for AlertMedia’s hybrid workforce.

With a nod to the tapering exclamation point of the AlertMedia logo, the floor plan leverages subtle angles from the entry towards a floor-to-ceiling glass curtain wall with stunning views of downtown Austin. A limited use of the brand color red is seen at entries and in accent details, complementing a clean palette of neutrals.

Off reception, a monumental stair connects the all-hands space with the impressive sky lounge café and outdoor terrace. A variety of construction materials are used in innovative ways to create depth and texture. Painted and edge-lit corrugated metal, for instance, generates visual movement and tactile interest. Other installations, such as back-lit corrugated acrylic panels and leathered plaster enhance the library as a quiet zone for work or respite.

The rich variety of spaces includes the AlertMedia Command Center and a production studio for creating podcasts and videos. To accommodate the company’s mix of remote and in-office work, guitar-pick-shaped tables in video conferencing rooms create digital equity among remote and in-person participants. Collaboration islands buffer open workstations and heads-down spaces from gathering zones. The executive suite includes a boardroom and a private balcony. Employee wellness anchors the design, with a connecting stair that encourages movement, strategically located beverage stations that encourage breaks for hydration, and two wellness rooms.
