Headquarters Relocation
Santa Clara, CA | 207,000 SF
This confidential semiconductor company has established its new West Coast Headquarters in Santa Clara, a dynamic move that underscores its unwavering commitment to innovation, growth, and its employees.
Purpose-built to replace an outdated facility, the new campus is strategically positioned in the heart of Silicon Valley’s vibrant tech landscape, prominently located on Great America Parkway between Levi’s Stadium and the Great America theme park. The relocation not only elevates the company’s regional presence but also reflects a workplace vision aligned with the evolving expectations of a modern, agile workforce.

The architectural narrative draws inspiration from the flowing nature of electric currents—fundamental to semiconductor technology—symbolizing the company's legacy of progress and its embrace of continual transformation. This concept is brought to life through a design that celebrates movement, energy, and innovation, with its most compelling expression found in a central collaborative “hub.”

This vibrant nucleus integrates open workspaces, breakout areas, and informal meeting zones to spark creativity and encourage spontaneous collaboration. Spanning four actively used floors, the design emphasizes adaptability and operational efficiency. Expansive open workstations are bathed in natural light and framed by sweeping city views.

A range of amenities—including game rooms, mother’s and serenity rooms, and parklet-style collaboration booths—reflect the company’s commitment to diverse workstyles and holistic employee support. A standout feature is the building’s proximity to the theme park, where views of roller coasters and the ambient buzz of rides infuse the space with a surprising and energizing vibrancy.

The first and fourth floors are dedicated to laboratory environments, meticulously planned through a design-build process that accommodates specialized infrastructure such as high-capacity power systems and dedicated HVAC solutions. A Central Utility Plant (CUP) and reinforced rooftop mechanical zones bolster technical performance and resilience.

Sustainability was integral throughout, with strategies including daylight optimization, durable material selection, and energy-efficient systems contributing to a responsible, future-ready workplace.
