Robert Half
Headquarters Relocation
San Ramon, CA | 100,000 SF
The relocation of Robert Half’s corporate headquarters to a serene, park-like setting in San Ramon, California, represents a defining moment in the company’s ongoing evolution. More than a simple change of address, the move embodies a transformative approach to workplace design—one that embraces flexibility, well-being, and cultural expression.
Working in close partnership with Robert Half, IA created a headquarters that redefines what a corporate environment can be, aligning the workplace with the company’s values and vision for the future.

Set within a tranquil, park-like environment with mature landscaping and a peaceful lake, the ground-floor space embraces its natural surroundings, offering sweeping views and abundant daylight throughout. This relocation was not simply a move, but a strategic effort to create a forward-thinking, flexible environment that reflects the company’s values and supports the evolving nature of work.

The design emphasizes flexibility, with mostly unassigned work points and a wide variety of space types to support different work styles. From quiet zones and private focus rooms to open collaboration areas and informal lounges, employees are empowered to choose how and where they work. The layout follows a linear path that connects key spaces—from the reception and work lounge with patio access, through the collaborative park lounge, and ending in the serene library for focused tasks.

Architectural features and materials reflect Robert Half’s identity and brand. Distinct ceiling treatments—vaults, canted panels, and acoustic waves—define zones along the main circulation route. Wood portals and friezes add warmth and character while marking transitions between spaces. Experiential graphics, thoughtfully crafted and placed throughout, reinforce company culture and bring storytelling into the built environment.

The headquarters also includes specialty areas such as a recording studio, seamlessly integrated into the floor plan to support technical teams without disrupting the overall flow. Every design decision, from spatial organization to materiality, supports a high-performance, human-centered workplace.
Through this relocation, Robert Half has created a headquarters that blends innovation, employee well-being, and brand expression—offering a new kind of workspace that connects people to purpose and place.
