Our firm is excited to announce that we will be participating in the SXSW Interactive 2016, as part of a panel called “Reality Check: VR and AR in Workplace Design is Here.” The panel will feature two firm members, Guy Messick AIA, Director of Design Intelligence and Kelly Funk CID, LEED AP BD+C, Senior Workplace Strategist, and Angel Say, CEO/Co-Founder of InsiteVR.
During our panel session, we will explore how virtual and augmented realities (VR & AR) are disrupting workplace design at an accelerated pace. We will also discuss how these technologies are cultivating the rise of empathetic design as users bring their real-world experiences into the virtual and augmented worlds. This human-centered approach to design via VR and AR is not only helping to solve for spatial and organizational challenges, but helping to define and shape the experience users want for themselves and for their customers in their place of work…and life. Our panel will include an interactive demo for attendees to use the most current equipment and environments, including the integration of immersive and 360 in a single, explorable world.
For more information on our panel and our use of virtual reality in workplace design, please check out our blog posts here and here. We will be updating our blog with more posts as the conference approaches. Details on attending the panel are below:
